Concept

The design balances a dynamic relationship between spatial definition and permeability. Meandering courtyard buildings generate a sequence of diverse, high-quality open spaces with varying atmospheres and degrees of intimacy. Their form maximises landscape views and exposure for all residential units.

The site marks a fluid transition between existing medium-density housing and the open landscape. The proposed development leverages its compact urban fabric to define a clear urban edge – where urban living meets the open landscape, offers the opportunity to combine green living with the advantages of a dense, vibrant urban neighborhood. This urban framework enables a neighbourhood that combines the benefits of green, landscape-oriented living with the vibrancy and density of a lively, well-connected urban quarter.
