Studio M³
was founded in 2017 as the Berlin office of the international network MLA+ (Rotterdam) and has been operating independently since 2024 under the direction of Maximilian Müller and Christoph Michael. Based in Berlin-Kreuzberg, we work on a wide spectrum of projects that bridge architecture and urban design. Our approach combines international expertise with a profound knowledge of local contexts.

We see urban design and architecture as mutually dependent disciplines. In urban design, we think through to the architectural detail and implementation. In architecture, we remain acutely aware of the broader urban fabric. Key to our work are spatial composition and atmosphere, the interplay of public and private, and the long-term adaptability of spaces.

Every project evolves from the specific conditions of its site and brief. Our designs are contextually grounded and characterised by a distinct identity. They offer timeless solutions for the complex demands of the urban environment and appeal to the senses. We aim to generate added value – for the project itself and for the wider neighbourhood. With each new assignment, we begin again – and build forward.
